ThreadGauge

Last updated 15 June 2026

ThreadGauge measures screw threads entirely on your iPhone. The short version of this policy: the app collects no personal information, and nothing you photograph leaves your device.

What the app collects

ThreadGauge has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. It does not collect, store, or transmit personal information of any kind.

Camera and photos

To measure a thread, ThreadGauge reads a single image — one you capture with the camera or choose from your photo library — together with a reference card for scale. All processing happens on your device, using the phone's own hardware. Your photos are never uploaded or sent anywhere; ThreadGauge has no server to receive them. If you choose to save a measured photo, it goes only to your own photo library.

Purchases

ThreadGauge is free for your first measurements, with a one-time purchase to unlock unlimited use. Apple processes every purchase through the App Store. The app never sees or stores your payment details. Apple's handling of transaction data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Third-party services

ThreadGauge uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking services. The only outside system involved is Apple's In-App Purchase, used solely to process your unlock and restore it across your devices.

Data sharing

Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing to sell, share, or hand to third parties.

Children's privacy

ThreadGauge collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
